How to set up an email on microsoft outlook 2003

1. Open Outlook

Firstly, let’s open up Microsoft Outlook Outlook mail. In the top menu click Tools > E-Mail Accounts. 

2. Add new account

Click Add a new e-mail account

3. Select IMAP

Select IMAP and click Next

4. Now time to enter your details

These details should be available from your service provider. If that’s us, shoot us a quick email (perhaps from another email address) or give a ring and we’ll happily provide them.

Name
The name you want to appear in a persons inbox when you send them an email

Email
Enter your full email address – [email protected]

Username
Enter your full email address again [email protected]

Password
Carefully enter your password

Incoming mail server (IMAP)
Enter the details given to you, similar to mail.domain.com

Outgoing mail server (SMTP)
Enter the details given to you, similar to mail.domain.com

5. Click ‘More Settings’

Click on More Settings…
At the top, click Outgoing Server tab
Check My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication
Be sure Use same settings as my coming mail server is also checked
Click OK

6. Test account

Click Test Account and you should see a bunch of green ticks come to the party
Click Close

7. Next

Click Next bottom right

8. You did it

That’s it, you’re now a certified email wizard. Click Finish to close and go grab a coffee.

9. Test

Send us a test email to check if you like. We’ll happily respond to let you know it’s working.

How to set up an email on mac mail

1. Open 'Mail' app

Firstly, let’s open up mac mail. Then at the top right, click Mail > Add Account. 

2. Choose account type

You should see a popup like the image below, we want to select Other Mail Account.

3. Now time to enter your details

These details should be available from your service provider. If that’s us, shoot us a quick email (perhaps from another email address) or give a ring and we’ll happily provide them.

Name
The name you want to appear in a persons inbox when you send them an email

Email
Enter your email address

Password
Carefully enter your password

Click Sign In

4. More details please

A few more details to enter and you email will all be set up.

Email
This should already be entered, if not enter it again.

Username
Your full email address again **NOTE** this has a tendency to disappear, no idea why and I seem to have lost apples phone number to ask why so just double check that it’s there before you finish this screen**.

Account Type
Select IMAP.

Incoming mail server
Enter the information provided to you by nuvismedia or your service provider.

Outgoing mail server
Enter the information provided to you by nuvismedia or your service provider.

Just before you click sign in, make sure that username still has your email address in it. If not, enter it again.

5. All done

Click Sign In and you’re done. You should see your new email address on the left side of the mail application window. 

Send us a test email to check if you like, we’ll happily respond to let you know it’s working.

How to set up an email account on iPhone

1. Find the settings

Let’s jump straight in. Find your settings app on your phone, which is the grey gear icon.

Scroll down to Mail > Accounts and then click Add Account.

You should then be faced with this screen where you select Other.

2. Enter your supplied details

Name
Enter the text you wish to appear in someones inbox when you send them an email. Generally your own name. You may also want to include the business name.

Email
Enter your full email address.

Password
Carefully enter your password.

Description
This is just for you, it will appear as the mailbox inside the mail application on your phone. Personally, I like to use the email address. Keeps it simple.

Double, triple quadruple check
One typo here and your emails will not work.

3. More details please

Some details will already be filled in here, we just need fill the remainder.

Incoming mail server
Enter the details supplied to you, likely mail.yourdomain.com.au

Username
Enter your full email address.

Password
Enter your password.

Outgoing mail server
Enter the details supplied to you, likely mail.yourdomain.com.au

Username
Enter your full email address again (it does suggest this is optional, but it is required)

Password – Enter your password (it does suggest this is optional, but it is required).

Carefully re-read
Have a look over it, make sure there are not typos. Easier to fix them now than troubleshoot later.

4. Tick, tick, tick

Once verified you should see ticks down the right hand side. Fantastic, you’re so close.

5. Just mail, thanks

Be sure mail is on and notes are off then click save, top right.

6. You’re all set up

Once you have saved, you can hit the home button. Navigate to your Mail application and send away.
