Eighth Quarter Real Estate

Rebranding | Logo Design | Print Collateral

Project overview

Existing Real Estate company J&S Real Estate came to us looking for a rebrand. Joanna and Dina, Directors of J&S, wanted their new company to convey a contemporary and luxurious look and feel.

We started from the ground up, first renaming the company. As a team, we workshopped ideas that represented the brand aesthetic Joanna and Dina wanted to convey, and produce a name that was unique, memorable and had all associated elements - website, social media handles - available.

With brand new company name 'Eighth Quarter' confirmed, we moved to creating a bespoke logo and icon design, brand typography and colour palette.

We maintain an ongoing relationship with Eighth Quarter, producing business collateral, digital and print assets - including luxe foiled, textured business cards, presentation document folders, staff name badges, real estate flags, open for inspection A-frames and foiled letterhead.

Renaming the company

The first step to rebranding was create a company name that was meaningful and represented the look and feel of the new company brand.

Whilst workshopping, we thought about what we wanted to evoke with the company name. We considered the origins of the company, the meaning behind words and importantly – considered the availability of the business name registration, domain and social media platforms.

So why 'Eighth Quarter'?

In several Asian languages, the word for eight sounds very similar to words meaning “wealth” and “prosperity”, evoking feelings of good fortune to the search for a new home. Quarter references traditional living quarters – the area of your town or city you call your own. Mathematically, Eight Quarters equals two wholes – a nod to original company founding duo Joanna and Dina of J&S Real Estate.

As a bonus, when the letters E and Q are put together, they resemble a key. Perfect for a real estate company.

Logo design

Brand name in place, we developed a logo and symbol to represent the company, and showcase this was a luxury, contemporary brand.

The logo icon is a combination of the letters E and Q, which create the shape of a key – a nod to the Real Estate industry they represent.

Typography & colour palette

Our role – to select a colour palette and brand fonts to represent security, style and luxury.

Print collateral

With the name, logo, typography and colour palette in place, we set to bringing print collateral to the table. We produced business cards on a nice thick, textured stock and added gold foil detailing, continuing the story of a premium company.

We provide ongoing support with digital and print items. Luxe foiled, textured business cards, presentation document folders, staff name badges, real estate flags, open for inspection A-frames and foiled letterhead.

I am very excited to tell you that everyone likes your creative new name and logo!

Harvest Home is a boutique 1870's restaurant, wine bar, cafe, accomodation and events venue in Avenel, Victoria. In 2019, it was taken over for refurbishment by now owner Samantha Lewis, who wanted to breathe new life into the historical icon.As part of the refresh, we created a new brand identity. We worked to create a brand look and feel to reflect the boutique, bohemian, art nouveau luxury that is Harvest Home.

Typography & colour palette

Our role – to select a colour palette and brand fonts to represent warmth, style and luxury.

Logo design

Our logo design reflects an art deco, eccentric luxurious charm, highlighted by use of gold foiling and intricate embellishments.

Website design and build

We built a beautiful, function website for Harvest Home, incorporating pages for home, accommodation, events and importantly, an accomodation booking form. All sites are built to be desktop, tablet and mobile responsive.

Once built, we handed over the reigns to Harvest Home, who were keen to continue making updates and edits themselves.
